Helping To Feed Animals In Need In Wake County

FWCAC has been a leader in helping pets and their people here in Wake County. With many residents suddenly losing their hours/jobs during the pandemic, our nonprofit wanted to ensure that no one had to choose between feeding themselves or feeding their animals.  FWCAC has been providing free pet food and essentials since March 2020 through our No Empty Bowl Project.

As 2021 approached it became apparent that there was still a great need in our community for a pet food pantry. In 2021 our No Empty Bowl Project officially became a permanent program. We are currently feeding 100 families with over 300 pets every month.

TO ENSURE THAT PETS’ NEEDS CONTINUE TO BE MET, FWCAC IS PROVIDING PET ESSENTIALS THROUGH THE FOLLOWING POINTS OF DISTRIBUTION:

*Open Door Church: Located at 9801 Durant Road, Raleigh 27614

A booth of FWCAC volunteers pass out pet food/essentials on the third Saturday of the month from 11 am-12 pm alongside Open Door's human food/toiletries distribution. Serving Wake County residents.

*Feed the Pack for NC State Students: Located at 2221 Dunn Avenue, Raleigh

Their hours vary so please find more information at: https://feedthepack.dasa.ncsu.edu/support-feed-the-pack/
