Meet Howard

Meet Howard. This sweet, goofy hound came into the shelter from the emergency vet after being found in the road with an injured leg. No rescues were able to assist him, so the Wake County Animal Center made him available for adoption. Potential adopters were reluctant to adopt Howard with his injury – a torn Achilles tendon – which limits the use of his leg.

The awesome folks over at Mosa Pet Spa Resort & Boutique (https://www.mosapetsparesort.com/) offered to foster him. We all wanted Howard to have an improved quality of life and a chance of finding a forever home, so we took him to a specialist and he had a specialized surgery on his leg. We are happy to report that Howard has recently been adopted and while he is still recovering he is doing wonderful in his new home.
